The 6.7 Cummins throttle valve in a factory engine collaborates with the EGR system to circulate exhaust gas through the intake, reducing tailpipe emissions. However, for off-road performance diesel trucks, this can pose a significant risk!

A frequently overlooked aspect of a comprehensive EGR delete for most Cummins owners is the stock throttle valve. When the EGR system is in place, the stock Cummins throttle valve adjusts the balance between fresh intake air and recirculated exhaust gases by opening and closing. When fully or partially closed, the engine obtains the required air through the EGR system.
